Is your question for real or am I being punked? It's the jack and jack handle.

Re: 72 bedside toolbox mystery cargo
It's a 1940's car lift. You simply slip it under the frame and "voila" you can lift your vehicle high enough into the air to replace the tranny or walk around under the vehicle to do complete bushing inspections without hitting your head on the underside of said vehicle.
The high end exhaust shops used them back in the day, as did some foreign exotics like Porsche. I also believe Speed Racers infamous and highly regarded Mach-5 had them installed with an interior deployment switch. Did you managed to locate that as well? That is truly a rare option and I believe you've managed to triple the selling price of your truck in the future. Congrats on a super find!!!!! Last edited by 69 Okie Truck; 01-26-2011 at 01:41 PM. |
