1967-70 mirrors help.

i just bought 67-70 factory mirrors for my 72 and am needing the diagram for mounting and hole size. also is there a backing plate on these mirrors like the 71 and 72? help please.

There are backing plates. I have both of mine, that I dug out of the bottom of the doors when I stripped it. When you put the new mirrors on, it may take an extra pair of hands. It may not, but removing the mirrors w/o that extra hand will make you remove the door panel and dig out the backing plates.

I've seen it in "The Truck Shop" and I think Brothers. You may need to order their hardware though. I want to do this also when I have the money ( get rid of the camper mirror)

thanks for all the help and yeah im taking off the towing mirrors there just too big and i think the sport mirrors are too small so i believe these would be pretty nice.

I went with Peep mirrors. Some like 'em, some don't. I don't recommend them is you are towing anything, and especially if you are backing up with a trailer. You learn to rely mainly on the inside mirror...and you learn not to haul anything in the bed that is too tall for the inside mirror to see over.

Are they the round ones with the longer arms and three mounting holes?
