Another Fuel wire question
Heys guys new to the forum and linking up with you from Fort Dodge,IA currently the Marine Recruiter here. But anyways while being here in Iowa I picked up a 67 C10 LWB with a 250 I6 for $400. And noticed right away while driving her home that the fuel gauge didn't work. Well i guess this is a huge problem with this year model trucks after doing some research. But my question is after tracking down the problem is, Where does the wire hook up to in the motor bay? It's currently just hanging by the starter but theres no connection close to that so I don't know and trying to follow schematics on it is like trying to find jimmy hoffa. Any help would be greatly apperciated. And HELLO FROM FORT DODGE IOWA.

Re: Another Fuel wire question
Shouldn't be anything in the engine bay. The sending unit wire hooks into a plug in the fuse box that is labeled.

Re: Another Fuel wire question
Thanks for the post and the sending unit wire is hooked up to the fuse panel box that is labeled as fuel but that hook up is not getting power and following the wire to the engine bay it's not hooked up so again thanks for the post but still dosen't fix my problem.

Re: Another Fuel wire question
It sounds like some one ran the wire you are describing for a reason other than gas tank level.
The gas tank sending unit wire goes from the fuse panel to the sending unit at the tank along the driver's side step plate on top of the rocker. The sending unit wire gets power from the ignition through the fuse panel.
