new old guy in WY with 65 Burb
Hello everybody! I've been lurking for awhile and have to say that this is a great resource and community. I recently picked up the burb and it is going to be one heck of a project. It has all of the rust in the usual places but after pecking around a little I've found that it is a little worse than I originally thought. Not sure what the plan is for this truck but first I plan to get the rust taken care and the body stabilized before I take it off of the frame. The PO did some poor body work so I'll need to address that too. No engine or trans so I guess my options are open!

You have a nice looking truck and have done lots of work in a pretty short period of time! I am not able to see the pics on your blog though... might be my browser.

Re: new old guy in WY with 65 Burb
Welp.... I really don't know yet. I want it to be reliable so I will probably go with a later vortec & od transmission. I will probably lower it some with spindles/springs but don't think I'll mess with bags but you know how that goes. You start with one little thing in mind and it tends to become a full blown project in itself. I will want it to be safe so upgraded brakes etc. is a must. Right now it just looks like one big overwhelming pile of rust and problems Ain't it great!

Re: new old guy in WY with 65 Burb
Congratulations on the burb! I've noticed this one on CL for a while. First in Lasalle back in Nov for $900 then it just recently popped up down here in the Denver area for $1,500 then $1,200. Must have tacked on the towing fees. I love the clam shells, very nice find, but I was just a little concerned with the almost finished body work that was done... then left to the elements. The lack of the title also worried me, especially here in Denver the red tape can be irritating, hopefully Wyomings a little more forgiving. Good luck with the build I can't wait to see how low you decide to go.

Thanks everybody! You are absolutley right Radohound... it was CL... I didn't pay him near what he was asking though.. WY is a little more lenient but I expect some title problems. Demmit, Papa Kent, ProTrash.... you all have some awesome rides.... I hope mine will look somewhere close to yours when I'm done. Definitely isn't my first rodeo but this girl is in pretty bad shape. But, give me my welder and I can fix anything but a broken heart! You guys are awesome and thanks. I'm amazed what you did with your rides.
