door compatability

what are the differences between the 71 and 72 doors?

my 71 is getting painted and new doors look to be the easiest answer to my problems. i can get a good pair of 72 doors, however i prefer to keep my 71 inner door panels and armrest.

will 72 doors work? will they look different? what do i need to swap out to keep my 71 interior?

thanks guys.

I belive you will also need to swap your window regulator, I believe the shaft is longer on the 72 for the different panel. I think there is something else I heard but for now it has slipped my mind.

yes, the pre-72 armrest will mount in same location on 72 doors with same screws/hardware as 71
