67-68 Q-jet intake Mod
I saw this online on Camero and Corvette forums and thought it was a good idea, and wanted to pass it along.
The 67-68 (and some 69 intakes, so I've heard) intakes with the hot slot exhaust passage in front of the carb requires a special composition and stainless gasket. You can get rid of a lot of headaches by just plugging the slot off with some pipe plugs. This doesn't affect the normal exhaust cross-over under the intake runners. I had my local machine shop tap the holes for 1/4 pipe plugs. I coated the plugs with never-seize before tightening up. Wes
