A Grill Question!
Hi guys!
I have an 1970 GMC! I dont like the original gmc grill! I want this grill: http://www.classicparts.com/1971-72-...tinfo/61-052K/ He would fit in my car?! Regards Sascha |

I would think so. The 67-68 are exclusive to their front clip parts and 69-72 front clip parts are interchangable. I say, do it. Someone will chime in on this if I'm wrong.

No. You would need to change your front fenders, core support, headlight buckets, grill support, hood latch, and grill brackets to do the conversion. WES

Hey German, don't turn you GMC into a chevy.
A GMC with a shiny new front looks just cool. I have a 71 GMC suburban and having a complete 72 chevy front in my garage but I'm going for the 67 GMC grill without the moldings. TOP BANANA thanks for the picture

You can cut the middle section out you will also have to cur the other piece a bit as well singe the GMC headlight section is wider than Chevy. I have to agree with others four headlights are better than two

Wes from Classic Heartbeat is correct.
You need different front sheetmetal to make your truck 71-72 Chevy. The 68-72 GMC fenders are the same as only the 68 Chevy fenders. 69-72 Chevy fenders are completely different.

You learn something new everyday. I figured the 69-72 would interchange. Did you just buy the truck? If so maybe let the grill grow on you before you do any changing, i use to not like the gmc grills but they have started to grow on me to be honest.

Okay...i not know what i should do!
I dont want to change the front fenders, core support, headlight buckets, grill support, hood latch! What else can i do? Is there no other possibility??? I mean can i get no where an other grill that fit on my gmc except the original gmc grill???? The original grill that i have in my truck doesnt look so good..its rusty! You could go with a 67-68 Chevy grill using your existing fenders, but you'd need to change the headlight buckets on the core support and a 67-68 hood.

My thought is that i make it fit for my grill...i dont have to cut so much out of the middle from my gmc grill to make it fit,i think! Unlike the billet phantom grill! That gets over the headlight!
