Re: Hose dress up
I have never used the item that you're looking at, but I've seen alot of "attempts" to use it. From what I've noticed they seldom come out looking like they're supposed to. The weave appears too tight in one area, and stretched out in another, and the ends don't look right. Cleaning them must be a nightmare. Perhaps it was the installer, but I've seen more that don't look right then ones that do......
This is just my opinion.

Re: Hose dress up
I think the braided hoses date a ride also...they were super popular in the 90's. Right now either a painted original metal hose, a nice clean black new rad hose, or the chromed ribbed metal hose seem to be the most popular options. I like the bling so I'm going with the chrome ribbed although it seems the real trend is towards clean original hoses...

^^^^^^ Hit the nail on the head. I TRIED to install the Summit kit, Cleaned and slicked up the hose and tried for hours to get it look'n "right", Never succeeded so took it off and threw the whole kit in the trash. I'd be will'n to bet the pics shown of these kits installed are REAL braided hoses..... Spend your hard earned money on other things !!!

Re: Hose dress up
I agree... call me old fashioned but a clean engine compartment with rubber lines/hoses looks good.

Re: Hose dress up
i like the look of the black rubber hoses with the red/blue ends on them. no braided look for me although at the moment my upper hose has the braided crap over it lol. also, the red/blue coloring will fade badly, but a red/blue sharpie marker will take care of that haha.
