lookie what i found in the shed!

okay, i didn't find it but knew it was there, lol...for a long time, i've been meaning to snap a few pics of my dad's old '66 chop top cab...it's been in storage since the early 90's...he had ambitions of building a pro-street truck, & this is about as far as it got...the truck was disassembled & has set in parts since then...unfortunately somewhere along the road, the bed was sold...but if you can catch a glimpse, the front fenders are inside the cab...the hood & other front sheet metal is supposed to be around there somewhere, but i didn't see it...hopefully it's stored in another shed...this is all at my dad's friend's house...story is that there were some guys from up North working for the local Ford dealership in my hometown (Corinth, MS)...on the side they were doing custom work...so my dad had them chop the top on the ole '66...while this is really cool, i must say that it saddens me a bit...because if you can't tell, this thing is rust-free (fenders included)! it is definitely a rareity, especially in the Southeast....my plan is to rescue it from the shed, which has a hole in the ceiling & is slowly falling apart...luckily no water is getting to the cab tho...in the future, i will hopefully be able to start a build with this cab & help fulfill my dad's dream...he gave me the cab to do whatever i please with it, & i can't let it go no matter how long it sits...just wanted to share with you guys...i know i've mentioned it to a few folks, so here's some proof that it exists....the pics aren't great, but i didn't have much lighting to work with...maybe i can get back up there this Spring/Summer and take some more....hope you enjoy!

yeah, first time i've laid eyes on that cab in many years...i couldn't even really remember what it looked like...so, it was a bit exciting...& once i get my current project where i want it, i can hopefully get started on this one...then i'll have the best of both worlds, an "original" BBW and a custom SBW

Man, that chop is perfect. Be neat to see that put together in the future.

That is a nice chop, not too much, and it looks well done.
