anyone run york off ps pump?

Thinking of installing one, but I can't fiigure out where to mount it except the ps pump.
I was thinking of adding a 3 groove pully ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tchlink:top:en )

If it will fit and running it off the ps pump. Anyone do it? Think it will work or cause problems?

I wouldn't. It takes a lot of force to turn the york compressor. The PS pulley is pretty small to drive the york. Mine's running off my crank pulley.

was a bit worried about that. I don't have an open vbelt on my crank. If I did not have to run that dang smog pump I would have a perfect spot.

how many grooves on your crank pulley now. Could you change the pulley to add an additional groove?

Re: anyone run york off ps pump?

I think it has 4 now, smog, waterpump, ac, ps.
Looking @ it tonight, I think i am going to remove the smog pump belt and use it for the york since it is the front groove. Then just put it back on when I need smog every 2 years. Hope no cop stops me.
