Re: Question for everyone.......

Really depends on what you will be doing in the garage.

I coated the floor in my previous garage and wished I hadn't. I weld and fabricate in the garage and don't want a slick floor, or one that will chip.

My current garage floor I did not seal. If I spill anything I toss kitty litter on it, let it soak it up, cleanup the kitty liter, then throw some more down and scuff it into the floor with my feet. Then clean that up. It does a great job of cleaning up spills.

For small spills I use brake cleaner.

So, for what it's worth, I say no, don't seal it.

I've done concrete work for 30 years now, and I use Ashford Formula on mine. It's a silicate based sealer and surface hardener that is fairly inexpensive and easy to apply. Ashford is a brand name, there are other similar products.

I agree! Those pretty, shiney, floors in the Nascar shops look really cool. But most of us don't have a full time crew to keep it clean like they do. If you want a place to showcase your truck then dress up one bay of the shop for that and leave the rest "natural". Just my .02 worth.
