Great Upolsterly guy in the Fort Worth area
Just wanted to show off my newly covered seat. David at Carey's Custom Seats in Burleson knocked this recover job out in no time and did a fantastic job. I recommend him for any of your upholstery needs...pm me if you need his contact info

Re: Great Upolsterly guy in the Fort Worth area
Did he have to do any repairs to foam or springs? What does he charge for a job like that?

Re: Great Upolsterly guy in the Fort Worth area
Well, he provided the shell as well so that cost was rolled into it. He refoamed it along with the recover, and gave me the seat for $300 out the door. It's a vinyl that looks like leather but a bit more durable. It's a super tight covering. He didn't leave any slack. David also does amazing work on motorcycle seats and lots more. I think it was a deal

Re: Great Upolsterly guy in the Fort Worth area
Around my local area that is close to the same price for a bench redo.(300-350) Looks like quality workmanship too. Buckets require more work and run close to double that for custom work.

I'm sure he does. He has some really creative bike seats. I'm going to have him cover my door panels as well to match my seats too.

Re: Great Upolsterly guy in the Fort Worth area
These are some door panels I had done. They would almost match your seat. But they match mine too.

Re: Great Upolsterly guy in the Fort Worth area
Your guy does very nice work. Looks to be no puckers along the edges at all. I see a lot of newly done seats here on the board that really look great except for some puckering (not sure if thats the right word), some guys say those will go away with time but Ive never seen anyone post a pic up showing what they look like after they have tightened up.
Wish I was closer, Im looking to have a split bench recovered that wont cost me two arms and a leg and I know the quality will be there (something for nothing lol).

David's website is down at the moment due to some GoDaddy technical difficulties...when it's back up it's www.theseatguy.com
He is registering with 67-72 right now and will prob post up some work he's done. Also he is planning a meet for this spring to get the locals together and show their stuff off.
