61 GMC rear bumper help - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I got a good deal on a chrome rear bumper for my truck..The problem is its for a 63-66 truck any suggestions or has anybody made some other brackets..I have the brackets bi=ut the frame on the 61 is way wide..What do I need to do!!!!!!!!!!!!

Get some brackets for a 60-62, then you will have to tweak them to work. Or redrill holes in the bumper to match the 60-62 brackets. Then you will have a few extra holes though. Or sell the bumper and get the correct one.
