My dad bought his truck brand new in 1984 - GMC Sierra 3500 2wd. I restored it last year for him. It has stock springs but Bilstein shocks front and rear. THe rear leaf springs are heavy duty for 1 Ton- 9 springs + 1 helper spring for a total of 10 rear leaf springs.
