Question need help if you can

i have a 1966 gmc 1 ton flatbed truck, and i want to know how dose the motor sounds when it runs, can yall help me plzs, thxs jeffery

I havent ever heard one of them running, so I cant help. Are you having problems with it or is it making a noise?

These V-6's do tend to have valvetrain chatter. They shouldn't be noticeably loud but when you rev the engine up you'll hear vavletrain noise. That is normal for these V-6's.

Every V-6 I have heard idles incredibly smooth, so if yours is hopping around or doesn't sound right, I would check the simple things first:
plugs, wires, firing order, timing, points. Then go from there.
