Yeh, but That is still mechanical. I am just curious on what the Pro's and Con's are of the axels from the 72 Dana to the 79 F-250 Dana. Size, similarities Axle if I need to move the axle perches if the steering will be a problem and what I may need to change. The biggest difference is the LH drop drive shaft. The reverse rotation of the ford D44 ring and pinion is a stronger design as well. The D44 is easier to locate and this makes for a cheaper axle. As far as steering goes you can moce up to a cross over steering system and you can find kits out there to do it very reasonable.
