Gooseneck in a stepside bed??

Has anyone ever seen or done this?

Thinking about swapping my fleetside bed for a stepside bed in my 03 2500hd.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Re: Gooseneck in a stepside bed??

It should be the same shouldn't it? I mean the fifth wheel set up would be between the wheel wells anyway, and the stepside bed isn't narrower than that. It may be really inconvenient to trip the levers and such, but it should fit no problem.
