New Member Intro
I lurk here sometimes and really enjoy this site so I decided to join. I have an '83 K20 I have had for almost 20 years and currently a '79 C10 (ex-diesel). I have an '01 Tahoe DD, but I have always wanted a '67-72, specifically a '69-70. I had friends in High School that had these, and I have always had a soft spot for these trucks. Until about 5 years ago when I moved to Chattanooga, I did mechanic work as a sideline business. Before that, I had a customer bring me a '72 SWB truck that he wanted TPI fuel injection added to. So I Installed TPI and found a factory A/C setup for it and installed that. With all that work, the bug for one of these trucks is biting me again. Anyway, not sure I will be a daily contributor, but I really appreciate the trucks that you all have and build. As soon as I finish the '79 (mostly cleaning it up) and finish a '66 Mustang project (5.0 FI/AOD driveline upgrade, disc brakes, new floors, etc) that I haven't touched in a while, I am going to get a '69-70 truck project.
My '83 has been upgraded to TPI fuel injection and I did the '72 and also a '69 Corvette so I am happy to answer questions on TPI (and LT1 and TBI) engine swaps. Thanks for listening. Last edited by MARKDTN; 02-04-2011 at 09:06 AM. |

no worries, just one of the site rules, can't post things for sale unless you become at least a premium member

Re: New Member Intro
Hello, Greetings from Chattanooga! I have a 68 thats been in the family since 70, and am doing a "lifelong" resto on it. Good to see another member from Chatt. This is an invalueable site for info. I support with the 25 bucks yearly because you could not have all this info anywhere else for that. Good luck on the projects!
