Stock Steel Wheels

I'm new to the 67-72 trucks Any have a question. I just bought a 67' and am doing the disk brake/lowering but I want to keep the stock 15" wheels w/hub caps. From what I've read the stock wheel wont clear the new brakes. So, what wheels will ? Will they match the rear? Will the hubcaps fit?
Thanks for any input!!

Re: Stock Steel Wheels

I don't know about clearance, but your main problem is the stock 67 wheels have six holes and most of the disc brake swaps require wheels with five holes.

Re: Stock Steel Wheels

Are you using 5-lug oem rotors or aftermarket 6-lug rotors?

Re: Stock Steel Wheels

I guess you're doing an aftermarket disc brake conversion. The 4wd disc brake truck ('71-up) wheels will do ya in both rear clearance and hubcap fit. Blazers and K/10 Suburbans up to '91 ran them. Although rallyes and alloys pretty much took over by then.

Re: Stock Steel Wheels

Any 71-87 2wd steel wheel will work with 5-lug rotors.
Any 71-87 4wd steel wheel will work with the 6-lug rotors.

The 60-70 steels wheels don't have enough clearance on the backside, for the disc brake caliper.
