52" or 56" leaf springs? What do I have?

I am replacing the leaf springs on my pickup, front and rear, but one of the options is for 52 or 56 inch rear springs. I measured from eye to eye and it was close to 52, but some places say measure along the spring. Anyone know which way is right?

Measure along the arc, not a straight line eye to eye.

This is for your 1/2t 4wd,right? It should be 52" on those. They don't always measure exact (under) because of arch. But,there are only two 4wd lengths and it will be obvious. I've never seen them measure longer
