I used the old tank straps off the 5.3 truck .i just flattened them out and reshaped them to fit the s10 tank .had to add a few inches to the straps though.it works well and looks great

Well, I sent my computer off monday to lt1swap.com ,Im having the vats removed and smog and getting the performance fuel and timing curve. Can't wait to here it run !!!!!!!!!!!

i got my computer back today and got the 5.3 running it sounds great!now building wiring harness for tail lights. It will be on the road soon now!!!!!!!!!!

thatsss right hot rod it is. man this dude is gonna fly ,you wouldnt think that it just a 5.3 if you could here it running right now!! awesome sound this engine makes with free flowing exhaust and intake.!!!!

Reading your post and looking at your pictures as I am building 49 GMC and I noticed on your third post with images that the motor mounts are upside down...did you do this on purpose? If so please let me know why as I am about to weld mine in! |

well when i mocked the engine into the frame this was this best way the mounts fit my frame, i really didnt know how they were made to go . this was the best for my truck.

Ive got alot done this month .I cut the bed floor out of an long wheel base s10 ,got the dash done .

I found a deal on craigslist for the weld wheels on truck now 15-8 wheel on bck with 295 50s, look great too fit perfectly,also 14 7 inch wheels on front with new tires for 300.00 bucks could nt pass that up

The project is coming right along; looking good. What fuel tank are you running. My engine is lq4 6.0 and I am looking for a fuel tank set up for a pump, feed and return lines.

I used a 20 gallon 1986 s10 bazer tank and fuel sending unit, put i new high pressure pump on it from summit, and these also has the return you need,I had to cut of the factory fittings off sending unit and use tube nut adapters to -6 an fuel line adapters worked out great.
