Hey Rick, you could always wire those under dash lights to their own switch. The very bottom of the dash where it angles towards the firewall is a pretty good place for switches. There may already be holes there that a toggle switch will fit into. Then you could turn them on whenever you want, without having to turn the dome light on. Just a thought...
