temp gauge troubles?
my temp gauge started reading way way way to the right for no reason. i figured it was the temp sending unit.. so i just replaced it. same thing....
the wire is live. has 12 volts at the clip. when i ground it out, the needle does move back to the left a bit, but i have to ground it a few times. so im guessing that the gauge is gone.... anyone have the same prob?

Interesting...the guage should tach out to hot when you ground out the green wire.

hum, maybe the wire is grounding someplace... let me go put an ohm meter on it..... key off =)

anyone have this happen??? i hate to replace the gauge for nothing...

Yeah been there Dave. I figure either the gauge or some grounding problem. Could never get it fixed so I installed a mechanical gauge/sensor system. If you go that route and it still reads off the map then you got some engine problems,
