A Few New Pics

Hey all,

I Finally got around to snapping some new pics of the truck with the digital camera, finally found a Locker for the truck( i ended up buying the Powertrax Lock-Right after reading some reviews of them). Its the best $250 i've spent on the truck yet, and the install only took about an hour. The truck runs like a raped ape now, I'm curious how it will do at the track now that all the torque from the 500 Cad is making it to the ground. You notice it back there but not enough to worry about, if somebody has never drove it before the clunks and ratcheting noises it makes will have them looking back to make sure the rear end is still under the truck.

here's some pics I just took today in the driveway(it's sunny and about 85 degrees, just right)

Yeah, where'd you buy your locker and what do you think of it for a street driven truck? I need to put either a locker or a posi in my truck. Got a 440 horse SB in it, but workin on a 575 horse 496 stroker soon.

Smooth68 and Blackhawkdc- i found reviews of the locker by just searching for it on Google, I bought it from National Drivetrain the total i paid ended up being $265 i think.

As for how it works on a street driven truck you dont really notice it until you turn corners and the locker unlocks, you can hear it ratcheting as you turn. Or if you get on the throttle before you are completly out of a turn it will lock the tires back together and you will feel a little jerk. Other than that it really isn't as bad as some people make it out to be. The main thing i like is the fact that the locker transmits 100% of the power to both rear wheels, the posi always has a certain amount of slip built in, which I didn't want. Its fun to be able to do this now

73stepside- the bed is a 76 i believe

special70gmc- the drop is a 4/6,(no bags) its low enough for me
