Seat Belts

If all goes well tommarrow, we bring the cab back to the house. I mounted the seat back on her frames and just could not wait to play around with the new seat belts (Aircraft Latch style). Laid them on the seat and took a quick pic. I know the end gets mounted to the floor, any body got some pictures of their install so I can get some ideas? Also what is proper, the latch on the drivers left or right?

male end on the drivers left, female end routed through the seat. mirror it for the passenger side.

Thanks, I figure to "bolt" it through the rear floor area, the Po had them bolted to the seat frame, and only had 3 screws on each side of the seat frames to the floor, uh duh......

When bolting in your seatbelts, you will want to have a larger heavy washer or a steel plate on the underside of the floor. This is to spread the load out over a larger area to eliminate pulling a standard nut and washer thru the floor sheetmetal. If you look at the factory seatbelt installation, there is a reinforcement plate around each bolt hole.

The seatbelts came with about a 3" diameter washer, I'll look for the plate on the bottom side of the cab floor.

jbgroby, here's a previous post from when I was re-doing my seat belts. PO had them mounted backwards. I reversed to original and added in a recoil device from the 60's to clean it all up and to keep the belts from dragging the ground when you open the door or hanging loose, or just generally bangin around. Anyway, here it is for what it's worth.
