For Sale...not mine 1970 GMC SIERRA GRANDE LONGHORN

Seems to be a nice truck. He has sent me the pictures. The truck is in Montana. It does not seem to be a scam. Comes with a valid title. It has had a color change and he is willing to negotiate.

Shipping would probably be about $1000. It is in an estate sale and this guy wants it gone. I know he is flexible on the price.

He claims he lives in Atlanta area but has gone back to Montana to settle the estate.

Seeing you are the Longhorn Guru , would this truck be more valuble with a BB as opposed to the 350? I do know a granny 4 speed would hurt the value.

Re: For Sale...not mine 1970 GMC SIERRA GRANDE LONGHORN

I just got rid of my 93K 396 big block Longhorn that was in my opinion almost as nice and was a much better color and i could not get any action at $6000-$7000. I also feel a small block makes it more user friendly.

Re: For Sale...not mine 1970 GMC SIERRA GRANDE LONGHORN

all depends on what the locals want. The market is too soggy to make any kind of predictions on what is generally considered an undesirable truck. Not many people want a long wheelbase, let alone a C/20 or even C/30 extral long wheel base.
It's all about the short/fleet trucks.

Its sad but true, many in the market have no use for a "real truck" (a truck will full floating real axles). IMO they are looking for a substitute for the unaffordable period 2 door car, and it seems to be the 2 door 1/2 ton SWB. However, I think there a few out there who still appreciate the value of a quality solid turn key truck ( like the red GMC above).

Re: For Sale...not mine 1970 GMC SIERRA GRANDE LONGHORN

I am one of the long and extra long (longhorn) fans. Whatever, it just means the trucks I like are cheaper for me and that is good for me. I'd like to get a nice longhorn and I know plenty of others would too. If I find a screamin deal on a swb, i would only pick it up to resell it or use for parts for a lwb. If the maroon longhorn was closer I'd check it out. Its fine that we all like different things, go after what suits you is my motto.

Edit, i wouldn't mind having a rare 4x4 swb like a 50th, highlander, etc though.
