c10 & c20
I have been looking for a 60-63 C10, but found a C20 with the BBW I want in my price range. What is the difference between the 2? just 1/2ton 3/4ton? Is the frame the same? I was thinking of a dropmember in it, so just wanted to be sure before I bought it.

Basically the standard 1/2 ton to 3/4 ton differences thicker cab mounts heavy duty suspension 8 lug wheels and brakes, and axles. It can be changed to a c10 easily.

Yup, I am in the process of changing my C20 to 5 lug 1/2 ton. I got the C20 because it had the motor/trans I wanted and was in better shape than the C10's I looked at. I was swapping to 5 lug either way, so the body mount change was the only additional mod I added to the project list.

The half tons I've owned (all stock '63-'66) have been a breeze to drive even without power steering. My '62 three quarter ton is a real son-of-a-gun in tight spots and for parking. I assume it's the heavier suspension that makes a BIG difference at the wheel.
