3"z

i want to z the front of my 69 i will be running 22" rims what other mods will need to be done? How low will it sit any pics of the whole process.. thanks

Do you know the tire size you want to run on the 22? This will be important for accurate feedback.

You could most likely get away with a 2.5" "Z" and a 3" spindle... If you decide to "Z" it... do as little as possible.

How far down will it sit with a 2.5 and will I have to cut the trans tunnel or any other mods?

You should lay frame with that. You will need to raise the trans tunnel and possibly notch the rear of the cab slightly.

Is going 2.5" compared to 3" going to make me regret not going 3" later on for any reason I want it to be hammered!

Heres a link to a tech article on doing a 3" Z on a 1986 Chevy frame. It also includes cutting 1.5" off the bottom of the frame under where your feet are to lay pinch weld with no body drop. Plus theres also a trans crossmember as well. The inner side of the frame are plated as well.

I was thinking to z my frame I have a big block and 22 tire size 265 35 22 wil there be hood clearance issues can some one post pics of the work done to cab to tunnel please? Also with a dropmember do you have to cut the cab out? Every time I do a search for z'd no reults

Try Zing, Z'ed,Zed as key words .Also mess around with ur advanced search settings.It may help cause theres alot of info on here.G/l
