Whos done it?

might be buying a 79 srw 4x4 crew cab from my buddy its a long bed. has anybody converted one into a short bed? crew cabs are sweet but a long crew cab is LONG!!!

several on here have done it. Look up in the projects and builds section. I lucked out and bought mine already shortened.

im debating if i should even buy it. its going to need some good body work. but he only wants 1500 for it and it has a running 454 and a 4 speed i will post pics

I'm looking for a 4x4 crew.
There not so easy to find here.
If the drivetrain and running gear are good, it's well worth $1500

That is an awsome price, the 454 and Dana 60 front are worth that.

ghettoluxury is definately right... You could easily make your money back on the rig just in parts, so I wouldn't be to worried about the price.

I did it. Check my build thread in my sig. There is a TON of info on here from a few that have done it. Take some time and find some threads. They will either make you believe you can do it, of scare the crap out of you I dove right in and busted out the sawzall after a couple weeks of checking out how others had done it. Good luck

well im pretty sure of buying it now, but im still searching for some more cutting info. hey tswore do you still have your dimensions written down?? im going to have to sell my 72 k5 but im way excited for this truck. ive always wanted one. pics to come
