Another Summit Header Question

I'm looking at ordering a set of Summit Coated Headers part number G9006-9. I was looking for any pictures of how low they hang below the frame and if they point directly to the rear or point down at an angle. Any feedback would be appriciated.

Re: Another Summit Header Question

I have those on my 72, they hang down about 3 1/2" from the flat part of the frame. I would guess that they droop down about 3 or 4 degrees. sorry no pics

Re: Another Summit Header Question

I have them on my 69. I bought them because they clear the clutch linkage Z-bar with no problems. Also, I just have a set of glass packs on the truck bolted directly to the header flanges. The truck has 3 inch drop springs all around, and I haven't had any problems with dragging or hanging up so far.

Re: Another Summit Header Question

My truck is at about 4/6 drop, headers hand down maybe two-three inches. Haven't really scraped them and the roads here suck

Re: Another Summit Header Question

Thanks for the replys guys. Not really sure what I'm going to do, I have a 4.5/6 drop and wanted to keep the exhaust as close to the frame as possible, I was also trying to find something that pointed straight back, I'm not having the greatest luck finding someone to bend exhaust pipe around here.

Re: Another Summit Header Question

chevelle or shorty headers might work, though not straight back

Anybody running Hedman's that has some feedback, from looking around on here Hedman seems to be the most popular.
