Post up pics of yours.I need some ideas for mine.I'm looking to store my hood gloves and consumables(some of them anyway) with the welder on the cart.I also need a rack for the bottle.I guess it kind of a "Rite of Passage" to build your own.

sorry dont have pics// the welding carts i've built i started life with elcheapo handtrucks that i bought at yard sales for 5-10bucks then built the platform and bottle holders out of scrapmetal pieces and angle iron sections of bedframes// i liked to build them low so that when not in use i could stash it under the workbnch to maximize my floor space(small shop)

I should take a pic of mine, but don't have one. I used a 27" Kennedy tool cabinet. One with 4 drawers and a door on the bottom. The cabinet door allows for 3 or 4 welding helmets, a blanket, 90 degree clamp and some other things. I made a steel frame from angle iron that is about a foot longer than the tool box is wide. I plated the bottom and this and is where the bottles go. I have (2) 110 cf bottles. I used some of that multi-strut stuff they hang conduit and pipe with in the box stores. Bolted it to the holes in the box where the handle would go. Takes up no more floor space than a simple cart, but all of the drawers and storage rock.

I used one of the little hand truck/carts too.

Most of the rest is scrap even patt of a bed frame.

I bought a good clamp for the bottle because it moved around too much.

No place to store any of the other equipment but it moves around the shop real well when I want to get it out of the way.

Here are a couple we came up with..the Century is a friend's of mine..14dollars for wheels at HF and scrap tubing...the Miller is on a cart we had already and adapted it for the welder..much better wheels..paint and striping credit goes to my Son..hope this gives you some ideas..

Built mine as my 1st welding project from stuff I had. 10 some years ago. Didn't study up at all and I did o.k. but may change things someday?

Haven't finished mine yet, still need to put the drawers in and the top shelf sides on. I just mounted the welder to the top for test fit don't have the tank on it yet. Sorry for the cheap cell phone pic.....

Look on Millers website. They have some nice do it yourself projects in there forums and other areas.
