No such thing as a reg cab SS, although a few people have built them. SS's aren't rare anyway. Joe Gibbs are sorta rare.

And really, no trucks are rare these days, with the numbers of them built. Sure you could nitpick every single option, but with the numbers of options available these days owners can order them to their liking in any combination, doesn't necessarily make them rare.

Now some colors you could consider rare, such as SOM.

I look at owner optioned trucks as being oddballs sometimes rather than rare. Some people just know what they want and get it.

My brother had an "odd ball" 2006 Silverado 3500 Duramax Crew Cab Long Bed. LT package, heated and power leather, sun roof, bose audio, extending towing mirrors, signals in the mirrors, DIC/radio controls, EVERYTHING, still had rubber floors and painted steel wheels (I thought someone swapped the wheels at the dealership, but nope, PYO was not on the spid.)

Oh and when I took my truck in for warranty work, my loaner was a 03-05 regular cab short bed LS with the 5.3, checked the spid for option "LM7" and it had it.
