Do the head rests come off?

I bought some seat covers for my truck and I need to remove the head rests to make them fit better. They are a universal set from Cabelas so they are not a perfect fit. I stopped by a dealer and they where not very helpful. They tried to pop it off but it seems they do not come off completely. Any advice would be appreciated.

Re: Do the head rests come off?

there is a small hole on the plastic cap, stick a tiny allen wrench in there and depress a spring lock.

or pop the plastic cap up and depress with your finger.
