you wouldnt beleive the deal i got on this truck... 454 bbc, noise gear drive, thumper cam, full stainless exhaust, posi rear, ****in truck screams... i had a comercial lawn mower at the shop for the last 2 years and a guy called me up and asked if i wanted to trade for it straight up and he would pay for the transfer of titles... i d*** near s*** myself when i saw the truck.. he didnt kno what he had cause i definitly made out on the deal... he was an import guy so it sat for the last 2 years... i am in love... i got to take a vid of the exhaust and a litle rubber laying... it needs some of the loose ends lied up but its drivable for now and has a full roll cage in it... you may just be seing the roof cut off and my bag setup going on it real quick... lol






its just another to add to the collection... this one is an 85, i have an 87 long bed, an 86 shortbed fleet side convertable v6, and a 77 burban 454 donor for the 86 chop top... then my dailys are a 91 noma and a 00 jimmy for the wife... the only one that is stock is the noma... haha.. im not sure what motor im gonna put in the 87 yet.. i wanna put an lsx in that beast... lol

just a dyno sheet and when it was built... it only has 3k on the motor... 603 hp and 687 ft pounds of torque... i just did a quick run through it today to see what it needed and a tune up... all im really gonna do to the motor is put a surpintin setup on it cause it keeps throwing the power steering belt... im pretty sure the bracket is bent so im just gonna steal it off my other 454 out of the 77 burban...

that lawnmower was givin to me by a guy my dad knew... i used it to cut the grass at my parents house and a few others in the neighborhood when i lived in a little more country area... then i moved to the burbs and i have less then a half acre of land... not much need for that anymore... honestly i still cant figure out why the guy wanted that mower... maybe he thought the engine was gold plated or something but at this point i dont care... lol..

but as far as the shop top goes its still a work in progress... i cut the roof off about 3 weeks ago with a sawzaw and just have been driving it since...

i dont know what way i wanna go with it now.. originally i was gonna put the 454 out of the 77 burban in it, bag it, and give it a pro street look... but now i may just bag the big red truck, leave the chop top with the 4.3 thats in it and leave it static drop but finish the cab up and then make the grey 87 the pro street truck...

all that has been running circle in my head for the past 3 days... i dont know what way i wanna go in yet but once the tools come out i will figure it out... im still workin out all the bugs in the new truck... i just got the power steerig right today... i jsut have to find the correct high pressure hose... right no wi have a make shift one on there but im sure it will leak shortly... its got an o ring style steering box with a compression style pump... i am unsure of what that pump came out of but i know its not the right one... anyone got any clues

You lucky dog you! I am speechless. If I had that deal, I'd have some fun in the truck, then sell it for thousands and use the $$ for other projects.

wow its been awhile since i have been here. i have gotten rid of most of my fleet and bough and sold a few more.. i still have my red c10 from above. its going through a bit of a transformation now.. i just wasnt happy with the 454 after driving it for so long. i love my LS motors and felt it was about time for me to update this one. at the moment there is a healthy LQ9 sitting on an engine stand already dynoed and tuned waiting for the snow to melt so i can dig out its mate.. i ripped out the 454 over the summer, redid the front suspension and started doing rust repair. after replacing most of the lower cab sheetmetal thanks to my lovely northeast weather mother nature decided i had done enough and brough in the cold weather. ill post pictures of future progress as i take them..

nah the yellow body was WASTED.. the reason behind cutting the roof off was because the cab was so bad i could no longer open the door.. rather then get in and out dealing with the roof i cut it off.. never had intensions of keeping it so..

thanks.. its rather small compaired to stock but its better since the red truck doesnt have a tilt column and the seats are kinda high in the front.
