6 cyl
I have not checked the numbers yet but I have a 6 cyl in my 63 c10 and I was wondering if anyone could tell me if there was a way to id what 6 cyl I have. Once I clean it up I will check the numbers to be sure.

Re: 6 cyl
IIRC the only engines offered by chevy in 63 were the 230 292 and a V8 which I can't recall the number for. If the engine mounts look the same (I.E. mirrored images of each other), the starter is rear of the pass side mount, and the fuel pump and oil filter are forward it is a 230/250.

Re: 6 cyl
If the passenger side motor mount is farther forward than the drivers side it is a 292. 1963 was the first year for the 292.
