1/2-3/4 ton frame difference

I had to put a new frame under my 1/2 ton 72,I replaced it with a 69 3/4 ton frame . I swaped the front cross member, rear trailing arm set from the 1/2 ton on to the 3/4 ton frame. Everything seemes to fit fine but I have heard the frame's are not the same. What's the difference and can I use 1/2 ton bodymount's on the 3/4 ton frame??? Thank's in advance.

the rear cab mount cushions are different (taller) on the 3/4 ton 2 wds, & also on the 4 wd trucks. the bracket on the frame is also different, so I would just use 3/4 ton cab mounts. Good luck, crazyL

. No expert but---I know that the rear cab mounts on the 3/4 ton are lower then on the 1/2 ton which results in having to use different cab mounts. I would expect that you can use 3/4 ton mounts on your 1/2 ton cab with no problem as long as you use that stratgy all the way thru. The actual frames appear to be the same to me---size, weight, design, etc. Where you get into problems is 4x4 is defferent then 2x4. You also have different mounting between rear leaf springs verses coil. Hope this helps---Huck
