cargo light

I just installed a new cargo light and was wondering about the switch placement. Does it go directly underneath the dome light? Also is it wired hot all the time or just when the ignition is on?

thanks.

wired hot all the time. mine works with the door jam buttons and the light switch when dome is on. there should be a place in the fuse box for dome light. all the switch does is put the cargo light on and off

Did your truck have door jam buttons or did you put those in.

I wired mine to the interior light switch, so when the cargo light is on so is the interior light, but BFD, saved alot of wiring work
