2000 Chevy w/ 6" lift - Need Shocks
My friend has a 2000 Chevy Silverado 1500 4x4 with a 6" lift. it rides like crap and looks like it has the original stretched out shocks. He wants to put some Pro Comp, Rancho, or similar shocks with the correct length on.
Do you have any suggestions of what type? What is the best way to get a part number, Guy at the parts store said his tech line was down and that he could not look up a non-stock length shock. Thanks for the help.

visit a local les schwab and talk to them they can look up the correct length for the shock and in most cases will have them in stock.

there is no way he has a 6 inch lift with stock shocks, i put a leveling kit on my 01 and it need new shocks due to them being too short. i would contact any of the companies that make lifts kits for the truck and they can hook you up with the right ones.
