How do I take off the Light switch knob to get off my dash?

i have 1966 chevy c10

If i remember right there is a small button and spring on the side and you'll have to push the headlight switch in and hold the button and when you pull it the knob will come out.

Exactly.

Reach behind the dash and put your hand around the switch. You will feel a small round button head spring loaded plunger. Push down on that and with your other hand turn the headlight knob counter-clockwise as you pull it out.

Sometimes they can be a little stubborn and require that you try this a couple times.

I have also found it is easier to pull the switch all the way on, thewn push the button in and pull out.

also if you are removing the inst. cluster, pull all the stuff on the bottom, or it wont come out.

choke cable: pull out a little, and get a cresent wrench, on the shaft, and unscrew the knob.

wiper the knob just pulls off.

ign should unscrew

lighter : housing around it should unscrew from under the dash.
