What TV Cable mounting bracket are you guys using & What was it off of? If any one has a pick it would be helpful . also what is the best place to pull power from , does it need to be fused & what size? thanks

I got mine from Auto Zone. Its made by Spectre and it was around $20. Nice thing about it, it's adjustable...

I just bought mine from the dealer, both the bracket and cable for an '80s pickup with a carbbed small block.
Power can be from anywhere you get 12V while it's running. Doesn't need to be fused IIRC. Might wanna check out the 700R4 FAQ while you're at it. ![]()

P/N 25515598 Throttle valve cable @ $20.00 and Bracket P/N 22504927 @ $17.00 (GM) . Bracket has oppenings for accelerator cable and for the T.V. cable and bolts to back two bolts on Quadrajet.

Stupid question, but what is a tv cable for? what does tv stand for? not television i dont think!!!

TV = Throttle Valve. The TV cable "tells" the trans when to shift.

On my '72 I used the brown/white wire for the TCS solenoid (solenoid removed by PO). Not sure if your -69 has the same circuit or not. The wire had a disconnect ~12" from the main firewall connector and was routed in the "gutter." The circuit shares a 4 amp fuse with the radio (stock) and has been working fine for several months. The solenoid doesn't pull that much current, but I would recommend protecting the wire with a fuse of some sort since it is a 12 V source.
