I was wondering if the 72 square foot roll of dynamat would be enough to do my floor, doors, behind seat, kick panals, and roof. If not, how much sould I get?

i used this stuff, works great. and you have plenty to do multiple layers on the floor, firewall, doors, roof and behind the seat. my truck is nice and quiet now

except for the headers and duel flows.... lol

Interested in knowing how much it takes as well. I want to do the doors, floor, back and firewall. I would do the roof, but my truck has no headliner, just a painted roof, and the wife thinks the roof is too "pretty" to cover with a headliner

Anyone know if it will make a noticeable difference doing everything but the roof? Or will it just make sound bounce off the roof and be worse?

I did every thing in my old 81 c10 but the roof (inside doors, outer skin, inside firewall, floor, and rear of cab). It made a considerable difference in my truck. I put that single cab to the test after I installed it with two twelves and 800 watts. The roof still flexed alot but the tin sound was almost gone. That was a short lived system.

Yea, I'm not all that worried about the roof flexing because of a system, all I have are 2 3.5s and 2 6x9s on a 200w amp. I just want to cut down on road/engine noise so I can hold a conversation without yelling, and listen to the radio without it insanely loud.

BTW you coming to the Spring GOTG meet?

here's the seller that i bought from, i might suggest the 80 mil instead of the 50 mil. thicker is always better. plus it's only $30 more, which is still a heck of a lot cheaper than dynamat. (btw, good seller and free shipping)

I can't make it to the Spring meet but I think I am going to the VA meeting at the Super Chevy Show. Oh and believe me the systems are long gone. That was in my younger days. But the matting will help with the road noise. Good luck.

72sqft sounds like it might do a pretty good job, but I don't know if it will get you 100% coverage. Luckily, you really done need 100% coverage... The floors can do with about 60%, and the headliner about the same. The doors require quite a bit, especially if you're off your rocker like me and installed a couple sets of highend speakers in your doors and feed them with a couple hundred watts of power...

Just curious? Have u check the mat under the carpet where your foot rest while driving? Just wondering if the mat was showing signs of wear? thanks
