1977 Dodge
Here is my other old Dodge cop car. It's a #'s matching 440, 727, 9 1/4 w/ 2.71 gears and all the cop stuff....front and rear sway bars, oil/ps/trans coolers etc.
I'm not sure how many of these are left, but I've looked for a long time and they rarely turn up. Only a Mopar guy can truley appreciate these cars since they are the some of the last of the big blocks...and I like anything with a factory 440. It has it's original paint, rubber floor mat, etc, so I'm only going to touch up what's there. It even has the original dual exhaust, minus the cats, and has a fairly tough rumble for a plain looking 4 door sedan. My plans are: New weatherstripping, headliner, recover the seats and sunvisors Rebuild the top of the motor: valve job, seals, springs, cam and lifters (XE268..the stock cam), new factory double roller timing chain, swap the stock iron intake with a Performer so I can save my back re-installing it and use the Thermoquad. Detail engine bay and repaint the motor Chrysler blue Anything I touch will get either cleaned or repainted, including things like the steering column, brake booster etc. Thanks for letting me post my Mopar on this great site. I hope somebody remembers these, hopefully not while being chased.

Awesome! Hated watching so many of those die on the Blues Brothers. (Loved the movie)

Re: 1977 Dodge
I'm not a "MOPAR GUY", I like a little of everything, and this one would be COOL!

Re: 1977 Dodge
I had a ex PD 77 Royal Monaco with the 440 back in the day, All the local sheriffs would bust my chops all the time for the burned out duel glasspacks !
Is that the back corner of a mid to late 70's Merc there in the third pic ?

Re: 1977 Dodge
Thanks,
No that's not a Merc in the 3rd pic, that's the back corner of my Diplomat I'm going to start on soon with a 390 stroker and stock everything else to keep it a sleeper.
