New Dash from Just Dashs.

Thought I would pass along this new product I seen in Hot Rod magazine.
It's a full dash pad with gauges that fits our trucks. They are made by Just Dashs.

I ran across this today, and thought it was slick. Motorized filler cover.

Re: New Dash from Just Dashs.

$500 for a dash pad? Are the gauges included? Still seems a little high.

Re: New Dash from Just Dashs.

It's not even a pad, per se, but a vinyl covered overlay with three little holes pointed vaguely towards the drivers direction.

No thanks

So you would have to put this over the dash pad you already have? Wonder how long it lasts until the sun cracks it....

Talking Re: New Dash from Just Dashs.

Why not just make one out of a old dash pad. Looks pretty simple to me. Take the sheet metal cut it bend it tach it down have it covered by a good shop and there you have it.

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: New Dash from Just Dashs.

Why not just keep the gauges in the instrument cluster? Store bought custom parts become mundane in short time and it's,"Oh yeah, there's another one of those custom dash pads"

Re: New Dash from Just Dashs.

I used to have a 4-guage panel, in chrome (the good chrome) that I put in my '65 C-10.

The only benefit I see to having the guages on the top of the dash would be to make them more visible. Honestly, how many of us drive and watch what the guages are doing? If you mount the panel below the dash, they're still there when you need 'em, and out of sight if you don't.

That's a bunch of money for something that benefits the seller, more than the buyer.

I'll have to raise my hand here. I pay close attention to the gauges GM gave me and the several I've added.
That being said I wish I could justify buying something like that to get the gauges out from under my dash that I added knee-knocker style for lack of a better position. But $330 - $500 is out of my league for something that functionally doesn't change what I got.

I got two kids to get through college yet.

Those motorized fill covers are cool as well and have been around for some time.....but if I remember they are pretty proud of those as well....like $600 or so!
