Return Spring/Kickdown Cable Setup

Anybody have a picture of how their return spring is setup on either a Edelbrock or Carter carb? I just changed out my Holley for a Carter and can't seem to get the return spring to work right when my kickdown cable is hooked up. I took the kickdown cable off because I need a new one so now I have the return spring sitting on that linkage on the carb.

Thanks!

Ok, I don't necessarily need pics, but how about a description.

They sell hookups for the carter/edelbrock. In a pinch I hooked one up to the top of the linkage and pulled it forward to anything there it could be fastened to. I tried the thermostat hose clamp and it worked good.

Does this help? The adaptor should be in the carb box.

PS- I have discovered that the square bores carbs need this adaptor. This will keep the kickdown or TV cable fully extended at WOT.

Actually, this is a slightly old thread. I did rig the return cable up and have it routed forward instead of backwards like it was before. Thanks!
