15" rims
I have a 41 half-ton project I'm starting on. I want to use the original wheel and hubcap combo but would like to run 15" instead of the stock 16" rims on the front. So far I have had no luck in locating a factory rim that will work. Anybody know if there is such a rim out their and what it came off of?

Re: 15" rims
i used trailer rims on my suburban...by accident lol
i started to take mine off and clean up and paint, and needed a few more since mine didnt all match. got to looking at the utility trailers my father in law has, and they were exactly the same on both trailers. they are 7" wide 15's...its a pretty cheap alternative. painted with Valspar tractor paint.. these wheels ended up being bent lol..but i just got 4 more (straight ones this time), already painted ready for the tire swap. *edit* and i didnt even ask, but suspension is on yours? i have the 73 5 lug rotors on mine and they clear...

Re: 15" rims
I'm running the stock straight axle and drum brakes. The 40 to 46 truck rims are 16" and 6 lug. I'm looking for a 15" 6 Lug rim with the clips in the middle to accept the stock style dog dish center cap. I can find lots of rims that will fit the truck but not one with the clips on the rims. Thanks for the replies anyway. Anyone else have any ideas? I think the 55-59 rims are 15" but about 2" wider. My stocks are 16x5 would like a pair 15x5. Or maybe a pair of 17x6. I want the big little hot rod stance.

Re: 15" rims
Does anyone actually still make or sell the stock 71+ 15x7 rims or does it require a junkyard crawl to find em? I'm got the dilemma you allude to - I want to convert to disks on my 66, but the stock rims won't clear em - and I really want to stick with stock rims. (unfortunately, i think I just blew a load of $ on powdercoating my stock steelies for nothin)

Re: 15" rims
I have stock steel wheels off a 76 Suburban on my 67 C10 with the disc brakes from a 72 C10. I bought the front complete with control arms and spindles and the rear end from the 72 so I could have the 5 lug all around. If your running a 6 lug disc conversion then I don't know of a stock style steelie that will fit without a 1/2 inch spacer.
