New Guy in So-Cal
I just bought a 67 long bed C-10, 2wd,, 250 six with a 5 speed gear box. I do not have a speedo cable on it. How do I marry up a cable with a stock speedo gauge?
Also, the previous owner gutted the heater and A/C unit out of the truck. Is it best to try to find oe parts to install or get after market? Has anyone heard of the all electric ac, heater. defroster from Southern Air? Wonder how it works. I would appreciate any info I can get. Thanks in advance. |

Welcome neighbor from Corona! All the vendors carry replacement speedo cables. Since most of your factory A/C is gutted, I would go with Vintage Air or similar.

Welcome to the board. Where is Midway City? Also check out the post in the California section under Regions.

Re: New Guy in So-Cal
Do you know why there is no speedo cable? It might be because the P.O. couldn't figure out how to hook it up to the tranny you have in there now. Find out what kind of tranny you have and let us know, somebody has probably done it. IMO, I would go back with stock heat/ac - it will keep things a little simpler in the long run, and in California, they will work just fine.
