1965 Chevy Wiper Problem

When I turn off my wipers they "park" pointing up...instead of laying flat. What have I done wrong?

Re: 1965 Chevy Wiper Problem

It sounds to me like there is an internal problem with the wiper motor that isn't letting the wipers park in the correct position.

Re: 1965 Chevy Wiper Problem

by you saying wrong i assumed you had removed the arms, if not your wiper motor may be bad if so dont pay the big dollars from the specialty companies oreillys has them new in the 2-Speed With 3 Terminals for 49.00 bucks or the 2-Speed With 4 Terminals fo 61.00 bucks and these are also used on 1974 - 1978 jeep Cherokee, J10, Wagoneer and Wagoneer Custom if you happen across one in a salvage yard

it ran super fast like a 6 volt on a 12 volt battery. ive had plenty of sixties vehicle that were 6 volt so i assumed that the truck came with a 6 volt system. this is my first 65 pick up. at any rate it quit on me.

There aren't any '60's GM trucks that were 6 volt.

Re: 1965 Chevy Wiper Problem

The arm on the motor is on 180 degrees out. If you just move the arms they will try to go down and onto the hood. I just did mine about 2 months ago.
