Re: Parts for old chevy's in Canada
I've spoke with this guy on the phone, but hagven't bought anything from him yet. I need door seals, drip catchers and rear seat hold downs and it looks like LMC is the cheapest place. Anyone buy from Cananda buy from them.....how did you find it and di you pay any extra duties etc. at the border?

You can get new parts way cheaper at "Classic Trucks" and "The Truck Shop", than you can from LMC.

Re: Parts for old chevy's in Canada
Those are the right links! Every now and then I will see an ad for classic parts here on the forum. The truck shop doesn't support the sight, but overall they have the best prices that I have seen. Good luck!

Re: Parts for old chevy's in Canada
I have ordered from LMC, Once. I will never do it again, i bought a cover for my 4-door and cost about $100.00 with shipping it cost $160.00. I was not impressed.

Re: Parts for old chevy's in Canada
That's what I was worried about with LMC. Scotts in Calgary has all the same stuff, but he's 30% more expensize. Still less that 60% more if you get stuck with a bunch of duty and other BS.

When you call scotts you actually talk to scott. He seemed quite knowlegeable. if he doesnt have it he knows who will. Greyhound charges oversided for bumpers. that was expensive. Imo dealing with the Canadian border is a pita. Good experience with scott

I like Scott; he's just a guy scrapping up a living at what he likes, and he's 12 mins away.

Re: Parts for old chevy's in Canada
Thanks for the info guys-- I hope to continue building this thread... it is a good resource for us Canadians eh?
I have also had good luck talking to Partsource here in thunder bay-- I was quite surprised-- If thye do not have it in stock- they can get it, and for the same price as LMC (i.e- lock sets, interior parts, swiches and light hosungs). Not sure of blzer specific stuff yet...but we ll see. ALSO-- How about body-patch panels? any good canadian suppliers? I have not looked for these yet... |
