![]() I dunno yet on the axle, everyone said in the thread it oughta work? I just hate to fix it up (paint bearings brakes seals) and install it, and then have it crap out on me or something.. But it would be awesome if it would work!!!!

listen john go out there get that axle road worthy and then one day take your axle out (keep the 6 lug axle) and then put the new 5 lug one in and run aorund in it if it craps out then put the 6 lug back in no harm just work!

If you're talking about the axle that was missing the pinion yolk, the gears are junk. Even if it was only used as a trailer.
Doesn't your 6 lug axle have the narrow 2" brakes(non-finned drum)? If it does you could slide the 5 lug axles in and use the 5 lug drums (wider finned drums). Sure the axles are longer, but the drums being wider make up for it so the brakes work. Not completely correct, but will work. just an idea |
