question about spring pearch on rearend??

i am replacing my rearend with a dana 60 in the rear and a dana 40 in the front... these axles came out of a 78 chevy 3\4 ton... the perches are not the same as the 69 frame.. how do i get these right so the springs sit on them... cut off and reweld or put spacers behind the spring perches by the frame??? PLEASE HELP!!!!

All you need for moving perches.

Someone probably put that Dana60 in that truck. As far as Ive heard the last year for a 60 rear was 72.
